Living means change. A house is basically static, a framework of floors, ceilings and walls. The residents create changes within the structure through communication - by negotiating individual places of retreat and communal open spaces. A narrow and a wide building provide space for this negotiation - in the courtyard, on the roof, in the passageway, on the pergolas, on the staircases and switch rooms. But sometimes it is also good to simply close the room door...
